With a background in fine arts and an infatuation with slow food, Kacy and Judy come together to form Cake in Canberra. The tradition of creating cakes for special occasions has a great history that intrigues us.
Judy has many years experience in cake decorating and has achieved high praise and recognition for her magnificent cakes. Judy’s quest for the ultimate recipe and desire to satiate the taste buds has proven to be an amazing combination.
Whilst completing her visual arts degree in painting at the Canberra School of Arts, Kacy worked as Functions Manager at the Canberra Convention Centre and then went on to run her own catering business.
Kacy is also an accomplished mosaic artist with many artworks around Canberra.
Art and food have culminated in Cake.
With a focus on you, we enjoy being involved in your special day and start the process by meeting with you. We discuss your style, expectations and themes. Together we will develop a cake that is an expression of you and your event.
Our signature cakes are luscious and romantic. Fresh icing, living flowers, berries, and ribbons come together to adorn your creation.
We specialise in large tiered cakes, round or square, tailored to suit your needs.
Cupcakes and petite cakes are big favourites, displayed on a cake stand, themed to your special day with ribbons and fresh flowers.
If a traditional cake is more your style, fondant and sugar art are the ingredients used to create your perfect cake. We will work with you to design a cake that is as individual as you are.
We are very particular about the ingredients that go into our cakes and insist on the highest quality. We do not use any commercial cake mixes or artificial flavours. It is our pleasure to cater to your special dietary requirements such as gluten free or nut free.
