In 1994 we moved the Bakery to Glen Osmond Road and to bigger premises. We now employ 7 people. We have our own refrigerated Van that delivers most of our wedding cakes. Heidelberg cakes has built a reputation on past creations. We only use the best ingredients possible, so not only does your cake look fantastic, but it tastes fantastic too. When you come to Heidelberg cakes you are made to feel welcome as soon as you enter the shop. We really want you to have the cake you have been dreaming of, and if its possible we will certainly make it for you. James Schmidt has over 20 years experience baking and decorating cakes for all occasions! Great News for Coliacs Gluten Free cakes are available in all styles and flavours. Cakes must be ordered at least one week in advance. James has only been diagnosed for the last 3 years (due to his daughter being diagnosed first) and knows what it is like to try and buy a quality gluten free cake. Now you can and all your guests will love it to. Coeliac disease means that your body can not tolerate any wheat, rye, oats, barley and their by-products. Trading Hours Monday Closed Tuesday 9.00am - 5.00pm Wednesday 9.00am - 5.00pm Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm Saturday 9.00am - 12.30pm Sunday Closed Appointments can be made out of these times. All Wedding Cake orders must be placed at least 6 weeks in advance if wanting sugared flowers or cake toppers. We take a maximum of 15 Wedding Cakes per Weekend and these time slots do book out. A $50.00, non- returnable, deposit will secure your spot then one third deposit 2 months before with full payment required 2 weeks before the wedding. All other designer cakes need to be ordered at least week in advance. During the months of October to March more notice may be needed as some weekends have been totally booking out months in advance. Please note these times are only guide lines. We can not guarantee to be able to supply your cake if that particular weekend has been booked out. We hate to say no but we must give customers our full attention that have already ordered. Standard cakes are always available in our shop and a message can be written while you wait.
